Why We Still Print in Small Batches.

In an era of fast fashion and mass production, we deliberately chose the harder path. Every Dharmik Threads drop is limited — not as a marketing gimmick, but as a spiritual discipline.

When we launched Dharmik Threads in 2024, we had a choice: scale fast or scale right. We had offers from two large manufacturers in Tirupur who could produce 10,000 units a month. We said no.

The Philosophy of Limitation

In Vedic philosophy, sanyam — self-restraint — is considered a virtue. The yogi who can control what he produces controls what he values. We apply this to manufacturing. Every batch of 200 garments is treated as a single work of art.

"

"Scarcity is not a strategy. It is a consequence of caring deeply about what you make."

What Small Batch Actually Means

  • Every garment is hand-inspected before shipping
  • Print plates are reset between each run to maintain sharpness
  • Fabric is sourced from a single mill in Coimbatore per batch
  • Our QC team rejects roughly 12% of every production run
  • Each piece ships with a hand-stamped card noting the batch number

The Math That Makes It Work

We sell fewer units at a higher margin. We have no inventory sitting in warehouses. We have no end-of-season sales. Every piece we make is accounted for before production begins. This is not a luxury brand playbook — it is common sense applied with discipline.

When a Dharmik Threads tee sells out, it is gone. We may bring back the design in a future drop — but it will be a new batch, with small refinements. Nothing stays exactly the same. Like life itself.
